I recalled a baby photo of D when I wanted to post one on his birthday but couldn't find it. I just did!!! Can you even recognize him????

I love the morning!

E was very chipper this morning. Came out fully dressed, with her bed made, blinds open, and night light off. I think she was excited about her new art class. Whatever the reason, it was nice!

D brought me a bowl of cereal in bed the other morning. It is rare that one of them is up before me. Sweet that was what he thought to do. It also makes me realize how many thing they can actually do.

Words

E, when not allowed to play in the foam pit at the end of gymnastics because she didn't obey her teacher: "That's OK. It's more important to spend time with your Mom than playing in the pit."

D, in the car: "Mom, 6 is 3 + 3 and 4 is 2 + 2 -- what about 5?" So I related it to half notes in music, which he understands, and discussed FRACTIONS with my 1st grader.

Skipping

No, not the kids, but their CDs. When we brought D & E home from Russia we tried to set a new bedtime/sleep routine for them, including playing soothing music. Two weeks ago one that E listens to started to make a strange noise at the end, and this week one of D's is skipping like an old LP (sorry if you aren't old enough to know what this is....) Replacement Plan A is uploading them and burning a new copy. Plan B will be to find the EXACT same CDs, more for my nostalgia than anything else. I hope I don't have to make a Plan C.

Fun or Fear?

Riding the air tram at the San Diego Zoo was a highlight for them and torture for me, as I have a fear of falling! And we did it twice!
