Onion or Scallion
E says she doesn't like onions. I'm making lunch while she is watching Veggie Tales with a chair pulled up to the little tv in the kitchen. Scallion is a character, so I decide to give her a piece of the one I'm cutting up. She ate it with no complaints! Should I tell her a scallion is just a type of onion?

Maybe. We just broke it to Cate that ketchup is made out of tomatoes.
No! Keep it secret for awhile.
Although why our kids feel ok eating the characters of VT, I will never understand.
