Puke

D is puking sick. He's only thrown up two other times in his life, so he was pretty upset about it. I'm doing laundry and trying to salvage stuffed animals.

He's asleep on the old crib mattress in our room. I've been contemplating getting rid of it, but am glad we still have it. And very glad for the advice I got when becoming a parent: Get two waterproof mattress pads. That way, if the kid gets sick in the night, or the bed gets wet from a diaper, you pull off one and have a perfectly made bed ready underneath without the struggle of changing sheets in the dark, while holding a sick baby, etc. I think MM, who helped me register for the shower, told me that one, and I am very grateful at this moment for her words of wisdom!!! In fact, I recently passed this on to a good friend about to become a mother for the first time. I hope it works for her, too!!!
