Dandelions

While mowing the lawn last week I contemplated the abundance of dandelions. I didn't like mowing over them and watching the seeds fly all over so they could torture me another day....

So, I told the kids I'd pay 1 cent for each dandelion they picked. Emily got busy. I counted the first 100 in her bucket and then realized she probably had about 400. When I gave her the $4, Daniel got interested.... Now they are both picking like crazy every time they go outside.

I miss the usual sounds of laughter, occasional shouts, and rare screams of pain (from a fall) and am wondering when the dandelion picking will get old....
