We went to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens/Museum today. The mansion has a different Christmas tree in every room, and they were fun to see. We also enjoyed this one outside, which appeared be have been made from white plastic like grocery bags! Walking the trails was fun, even in the cold.
Last year was the first time in my life that I recall seeing these "frost flowers" or "ice ribbons," which are formed when sap in the stem freezes and breaks open. I decided to take a photo this year, but it doesn't do it justice. I hope to capture better shots as it happens again!
